Order Processing

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) from our warehouse at 23 Whitcomb Street, Springfield, US 05156.

Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

We offer two shipping options to meet your collecting needs:

  • Standard Shipping ($12.95) – via DHL or FedEx
    • Delivery within 10-15 business days after shipment
    • Includes tracking and insurance
    • Recommended for time-sensitive deliveries
  • Free Shipping (orders over $50) – via EMS
    • Delivery within 15-25 business days after shipment
    • Includes basic tracking
    • Economical option for larger orders

Note for International Collectors: We ship worldwide (excluding some Asian regions and remote areas). Customs fees may apply and are the customer’s responsibility. Delivery times may vary based on local customs processing.

Returns & Exchanges Policy

At Model World Shop, we understand the importance of perfect condition for your model collectibles. Our policy ensures fair and transparent returns while protecting the collectible value of specialty items.

Eligibility

We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of delivery when:

  • Items are unused and in original packaging
  • All protective materials and tags are intact
  • Proof of purchase is provided

Non-Returnable Items

To maintain collectible integrity, these items cannot be returned:

  • Diecast Models (opened or unopened)
  • Limited Edition Items (special edition locomotives, rare collectibles)
  • Plastic Model Kits with opened packaging
  • Gibsons Jigsaw Puzzles with broken seals

Return Process

Step 1: Initiate Your Return

  • Subject: “Return Request: [Your Order Number]”
  • Order number and item details
  • Reason for return
  • Preference for refund or exchange

Step 2: Receive Authorization

Within 2 business days, we’ll:

  • Verify your request
  • Provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number
  • Send return instructions

Step 3: Ship Your Return

Package items securely in original packaging with:

  • RMA number visible on package
  • Copy of order confirmation

Refund Details

  • International refunds may take 7-10 additional business days

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Contact us immediately with photos of the issue. We’ll cover return shipping and expedite your replacement or refund.

International Collectors Note: You’re responsible for return shipping costs unless the error is ours. We recommend trackable shipping and marking packages as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs charges.
